Located in the City of Emeryville, CA, the 6701 Shellmound project is a mixed-use, seven-story building with 211 residences, retail, and amenity spaces. The project site is situated in close proximity to major freeways and an active rail line used by both freight and passenger trains.

The Resonance team was contracted by Urban Planning Partners to conduct an environmental noise and vibration study to quantify the existing environmental noise and vibration levels at the site. We completed the study and provided a final report with mitigation recommendations to meet the acoustical criteria in accordance with the City’s General Plan Noise Element and State Building Code, as well as rail vibration criteria stipulated by the Federal Transit Administration.
