Growing up in Los Angeles, Randy’s family knew that he would follow their professional path and become a third-generation engineer due to his fondness for taking apart everything from toys to phones. After graduating with a degree in industrial technology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Randy moved to San Francisco to work as an acoustical consultant. His interest in acoustics was born out of a personal passion for music and live concerts.
Throughout his career, Randy has traveled all over the U.S. to measure, model, analyze and develop acoustical solutions to mitigate and control environmental, mechanical, and occupant noise that impacts condos, hospitals, concert halls, residences, commercial buildings, schools, and churches.
Randy enjoys living in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family because he can be at the beach, forest, or the city in less than 30 minutes. In his free time, he chases his young kids and enjoys camping and hiking.
Clients appreciate my engaging and pragmatic approach. I often use visuals, such as acoustical heat maps, to convey technical information in a way that is easy to understand.
