After merging his interests in mechanical engineering and music into an architectural acoustics career, Rich Silva has been an acoustical consultant on both US coasts. This has allowed an understanding of different construction techniques and market needs. Rich’s abilities are utilized for the most challenging projects covering the broad gamut the design world has to offer, including: corporate campuses; airports; courthouses; hospitals; education; mixed-use residential; and recording studios.
This knowledge base has allowed Richard to function as acoustics team project manager as well as staff mentor and skills developer. Rich has been involved in research and development, delivering key conference papers on heavy-weight impact mitigation for fitness facilities and serving as guest speaker for local chapters of the Acoustical Society of America and ASHRAE.
